what is inner child somatic therapy?
An online 1:1 talk therapy approach that allows you to build a relationship with your feelings. We'll explore your story and memories through body sensations (somatics), uncovering patterns, emotions, sensations and beliefs that subconsciously guide your everyday life. Through compassionate conversation and giving ample space to feel, this approach invites curiosity and awareness into yourself.




meeting you where you're at
The world has shaped our thoughts, beliefs and our sense of self. This internal framework and narrative, established through the events we experience in childhood becomes the way we navigate our lives in adulthood.
Many of us unconsciously hold onto these patterns as we navigate daily life. From fear, anxiety, sadness, anger, frustration, heartbreak... we learn that it's safer when these emotions are held repressed.
But when emotions are held repressed, they can lead to turmoil within ourselves, showing up as physical symptoms.
Shifts happen when we take the courage to be vulnerable and seek community. A process that takes time and patience, but when you're ready and when the time is right, we'll be here to receive you.
We'll meet you just where you're at. You are not a problem to be fixed, but rather a person with a plethora of gifts and possibility waiting to be realised and seen.


walking out with perspective shifts
Therapy won't immediately turn you into a completely different person. But maybe, just maybe, it can help you build a more flexible relationship with your feelings.
Learning to notice them without immediate reaction, or beating yourself up for feeling a certain way.
The effects of therapy are internal. A situation that once triggered you doesn't give off the same feelings of reaction anymore. You learn to notice the emotion, feel it, let it run its course, and let it be there.
Building a relationship with yourself and your feelings and emotions is a continuious self-discovery process.
There is no rush. We are all on our own journeys.


what to expect during therapy sessions
This session is entirely yours. The framework below is just a guide. First and foremost, I'm here to be present with you and whatever is on your mind.
A session starts with a choice of grounding. We’ll hop on a zoom call, ground and get comfortable, then look at your intention for the session. This is something you wish to explore about yourself, your behavior, a relationship or anything you're curious about
We'll look into the sensations and emotions, allowing mind to collaborate with the body.
As your story unearths, we'll trace back to similar memories in the past. Where the feeling or belief may have originated. Bringing awareness to the repressed emotions that may have been stored.
Circling back to where you are today, we'll draw links to the past and present. In a state of awareness, leaving you with a sense of possibility, choice and agency.
This is your space. At any point you feel like its too much, the direction isn't where you see it going, or feeling is simply too heavy at the moment, you have the option and agency to decide how the session plays out.

**At the moment, I am a student of Compassionate Inquiry, a therapeutic approach developed by Dr. Gabor Mate. I am not a certified practitioner, but rather a student in the year-long training able to offer sessions as part of my case-study practicum practice.
