The most common New Year’s Resolution is somewhere within the health and wellness realm. In a recent survey, 48% had the intention of exercising more, followed by goals surrounding eating healthier, losing weight, getting better sleep and improving mental health. But why is it that come mid-february, many of us have fallen off the wagon?

Of course, there are many reasons and factors to this. We set goals, and wonder why we never achieve them. We wonder why we can’t get ourselves to the gym, or cook more at home, or sleep earlier, or just be less stressed, even when we know what to do...

If you’re relating to the above, you aren’t alone. What I’m seeing from clients as a Holistic Health Practitioner and trainer who has seen clients in Personal Training, Yoga and Pilates, is that many of my clients come in with big, ambitious goals, but they all seem to lack a sense of clarity, direction and a strong underlying “why”. Knowing where you’re headed, and having an intention is important because it gives you an anchor point.

Because if you don't know where you're going, any road will get you there. And you may just find yourself on a hamster wheel, doing the thing, but not getting anywhere, not seeing improvement, and eventually, a plateau. You find yourself trailing off within weeks.

And it’s not because you are a failure, or that the pursuit did not work! Maybe it’s just that the foundations were missing, you aren’t clear on where you are going. Maybe limiting beliefs from childhood, or a subconscious perspective is holding you back. Maybe the way you see yourself and the narrative in your mind is stopping you from taking action.

“The Holistic Health Foundations” is the program designed to root you in just that - the foundations. These sessions are self-led, and involve a deeper dive into your wellness vision, limiting beliefs, blockages, and areas you’re getting stuck in. We’ll work together to establish a routine that seems actionable for you to follow through, develop clear action steps to set you up for success. And we’ll do this with understanding, care, curiosity and compassion; not by force, guilt or shame.

Maybe at the end of the day, a healthy, vibrant, sustainable relationship with health and wellness that sustains you throughout the phases of your life is where it lies.

what happens in sessions?

We meet on zoom. Your sessions are scheduled through google calendar invites and I am available on email between sessions.

During sessions, you come with a wellness goal you'd like to focus on during the session such as developing an exercise routine, home cooking, quality sleep, adding meditation into your life, quitting soda or candy, improving mental health...etc. Anything related to health and wellness!

In session we work in real time. 80% of the session will be thorough conversations, questions providing you deeper insight into your goals. If needed, 20% will be around educational frameworks in modalities that Vivian has studied such as yoga, pilates, personal training and psychology.

After each session you will walk away with action steps to implement. Our session notes will be saved in a shared document that we can both access along the way throughout our time together. It is an intellectual property document built for you, from you, highlighting lightbulb moments, framework notes, mindset shifts and learnings. It is a piece we build together, but remains yours as you go about the health and wellness journey

LOGISTICS

  • Location: Zoom Online Sessions (please find a quiet space where you can give your undivided attention)

  • Date/Time: by-appointment and availability

  • Session Length: Approx. 45-50 minutes

NEXT STEPS

  • After your payment is submitted and received, I will follow up with a separate email with more information, a welcome form and a google calendar link to book your sessions

LAST BUT NOT LEAST

  • You have to be willing to do the work and have to be ready to look and reflect inwards.

  • These sessions are self-led. For each session, you will be asked to come in with a wellness goal (eg. Sleep improvement, designing an exercise routine)

  • During sessions, questions are asked to guide you to reflect out loud. I understand this may be a leap, but I am here to create a safe space to listen to whatever you have to say (and your sessions will stay confidential). This is where real change and integration happens.

  • These sessions are not meant for information gathering, or lecture style learning. It is conversational based, helping you to uncover your blind spots, and to draw connections and fit the puzzle pieces together towards achieving your health and wellness goals.

  • The work does not happen unless you are ready to implement it. I cannot force you to change, I can only be here to guide! This isn't something where you can sit back, relax and watch the work happen. It's a process where active work has to be done in order to see success.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • 12 hours in advanced written notice please!

  • NO SHOW POLICY — your session will be counted as completed and cannot be rebooked

  • LATE — 10 minute buffer for any event that you may show up to a session late. Sessions after 10 minutes will be considered a NO SHOW.

COMMUNICATION

  • I kindly ask that you do your best to communicate with me any foreseeable circumstances ahead of time! Good and punctual communication is so so appreciated.

WAIVER

  • Please note that health coaching and compassionate therapy is not a substitute for professional medical and mental health care

REFUNDS & EXTENSIONS

  • No refunds will be made after the purchase has been made

  • No extensions made for package container duration (eg. 1 month container = used up in 1 month)
